Effect of different organic manures with graded levels of inorganic fertilizers onratoon of Poovan Banana

The performance of different organic manures in ratoon in terms of yield was in the order of Poultry manure = Rice husk ash > Pressmud > FYM > control. It was found that nearly 20% of NPK could be saved by adding either 15kg Poultry manure or 15 kg Rice husk ash per plant to produce 18.5% more yield than at 100% NPK + no organic manure in ratoon of Poovan and this would lead to an additional profit of either Rs. 9500/acre or Rs. 13700/acre, respectively. Application of Pressmud or Poultry manure or Rice husk ash @ 15kg/plant can save 40% NPK to produce statistically same yield at 100% NPK + no organic manure in ratoon of Poovan.
