摘要

The authors would like to point out that Hopf bifurcation and chaos from torus breakdown were observed in the dc–dc boost converter under voltage-mode control in 1999 by El Aroudi, Benadero, Toribio and Olivar [1]. In our paper listed above, this important prior work [1], which should have been duly cited, was unintentionally omitted. Although phenomena associated with Hopf bifurcation and chaos from torus breakdown are ubiquitous in natural and engineering systems, it is necessary for us to make an appropriate retrospective citation to the work of El Aroudi, Benadero, Toribio and Olivar [1], and to point out that the phenomena reported in our paper for the buck-type dc motor drive system have been found using a similar procedure that was first proposed and applied to the boost converter in [1]. We would like to apologize to the authors of [1] and readers of this journal for this omission.
