Since the polypropylene materials are light in weight and have super iormechanical strength, there are widely used for automobile interior and exterior parts as well as for electrical appliances. Recently, attention has been paid to the fact that it is cost-effective and can be recycled. These factors are creating a rapidly expanding market. But in general polypropylene materials are difficult to get good adhesion, and there are need of making the special pretreatment before painting. Subsequently, studies were conducted on both paints and materials, and it became possible to paint without the pretreatment, but for painting automobile parts, high film performances is required, making it necessary to develop new paints. On the basis of its developing technology for the paints for the polypropylene materials for electrical appliances, we designed paints that can be used for automobile interior parts. As a result, we have developed the paints that can be created directly without pretreatment and that sufficiently satisfy the film performances required of paint for automobile interior parts.
