摘要

Ribosomal protein translation terminates at a stop codon.The protein-ribosome-mRNA (PRM) complex collapses,and the synthesized protein is released by the action of a release factor (RF).When an artificial,stop-codon-free mRNA is used,the PRM complex can be amply stabilized (at a high concentration of Mg~(2+) and low temperature) with a certain length of the C-terminal region,usually added intentionally as a spacer,being buried in the ribosome tunnel.
