摘要

The integrated services digital broadcasting for terrestrial television broadcasting (ISDB-T) is scheduled to commence its services in the year 2003. In the analog broadcasting, the channels the broadcast stations use in the same service area are one or more channels apart from each other. However, in the ISDB-T, due to the shortage of channels, the adjacent channels were allotted. This has aroused the need for transmission systems that allow simultaneous transmission at adjacent channels. To meet such demand, Sumitomo Electric worked toward application of the transmission channel combiner, which supplies more than one broadcast radio wave simultaneously to a single antenna system, to the adjacent channels. Using an elliptic function filter that has excellent frequency selectivity, a small-form adjacent channel combiner with high temperature stability was successfully developed.
