Sub-Sahara Office opened to promote African business

Sumitomo Corporation has established a Sub-Sahara Office in its home office to strengthen efforts aimed at developing the region's market. The new organization will take a cross-sectional approach to unearthing business opportunities across the entire region. At the same time, Sumitomo setup an office in Accra, Ghana, on May 1, 2011. It will serve West Africa, which had not previously had a base for Sumitomo operations.
