The continued lack of activity in the Brazilian market, intensified by a four-day holiday weekend in the first week of June, has kept domestic ferrous scrap prices unchanged, although a drop may loom on the horizon. The Platts domestic clean steel scrap assessment was unchanged this week at Real 440-480/mt ($140-$153), while heavy melting scrap stood at Real 420- 450/mt, and shredded at Real 340-380/ mt. All prices are on a delivered-mill basis.
