China's Indian iron ore imports up 8.5% in February

China's iron ore imports from India rebounded 8.5% month on month in February amid overall higher import volumes by China on stronger demand around the Chinese New Year holidays. In February China bought 4.87 million mt of iron ore from India, up by 380,000 mt from January, when Chinese New Year was observed this year. The growth mirrored the trend in China's overall ore imports last month, which grew 9.5% on January to 64.98 million mt.
