ICVl close to buying coking coal mine in Bowen Basin

International Coal Videsh Ltd., a consortium of five Indian state-run companies, is close to acquiring a coking coal mine in Australia's Bowen Basin, its Chairman CS Verma said at the 11th Coaltrans India Summit in New Delhi Tuesday. “ICVL is nearing its first acquisition of a prime hard coking coal mine in the Bowen Basin area in Australia,” Verma said, not elaborating on the mine or expenditure details. ICVL also is looking at sourcing coking coal from Indonesia, Mozambique and the US, he added.
