Illiquidity plagues european and US moly oxide

Moly oxide prices continued to ease across the globe with the European and US markets, in particular, displaying illiquidity ahead of the seasonally slow third quarter in the steel industry, market participants said Tuesday. The Platts daily dealer oxide assessment fell to 13.15-13.25 dollars/lb Tuesday from 13.20-13.40 dollars/lb on Monday. A Europe based trader source said the market was still very quiet but reported selling a container load at 13.10 dollars/lb in warehouse Rotterdam.
