The first nine months of2014 saw an overall global increase inscrap consumption compared with thesame period of 2013, tying in to a globalincrease in steel production, accordingto the Bureau of International Recycling’sJanuary report.Import data was mainly in decline overthe 2013 period, considerably in China butalso by significant amounts in India andthe Pacific Rim, the BIR report showed.
