The Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) in northeast China's Liaoning province is planning to introduce iron ore futures and has Beijing's support to launch a contract as soon as possible, an industry source close to the project said late Friday. “The DCE is finalizing the contract specifications and improving on the draft it tabled at last month's meeting in Beijing,” the source said last Friday, adding that launch was targeted sometime in 2013.
