Vale to sell European Mn ferroalloys operation

Vale said late Tuesday it has signed a share purchase agreement to sell its manganese ferroalloys operations in Europe to subsidiaries of Glencore International for 160 million dollars in cash, subject to the fulfillment of certain precedent conditions. The operations consist of 100% of Vale Manganese France SAS, located in Dunkirk, France, and 100% of Vale Manganese Norway, located in Mo i Rana, Norway.
