Met coal, iron ore demand to weaken: Macquarie

Global iron ore and metallurgical coal seaborne demand will soften through 2019 and 2020, respectively, according to the analysts at Macquarie Commodities Research. Global met coal demand is forecast to fall 7% by 2020, led by expected dips in imports from China as well as weakening growth in shipments to most other markets, a Macquarie report noted Thursday.
