Omani chromite miners see drop in production

The world's third-largest exporter of chrome ore to China, Oman, suffered a drop in chromite production in 2011 owing to low prices on the international market. Prices are unlikely to pick up until 2013, when global oversupply is likely to be eased by tighter availability of chromite from the largest producer, South Africa.
