Spot high-carbon ferrochrometrades turned lackluster this week as marketparticipants awaited the results of quarterlyprice negotiations between major mills andglobal producers, sources said Friday.A Chinese steelmaker in Gansu provinceand a Taiwanese steelmaker have issued buytenders for over 30,000 mt of high-carbonferrochrome to be delivered in the firstquarter of 2017. The mills were continuingprice negotiations with the producers,sources said.
