The electronic structures of the binuclear complexes [(NH_4)_2Re_2Cl_8)] centre dot 2H_2O and Re_2(CH_3COO)_4Br_@ were studied using ReLbeta_5 X-ray emission spectra. The distrigbution of the Re 5d AOs and Cl 3p AOs in the MOs of these complexes was analyzed. The ReLbeta_5 spectra of the complexes exhibit components corresponding to the metal-metal delta-bond. The contribution of the rhenium 5d AOs to the delta bond in [(NH_4)_2Re_2Cl_8)] centre dot 2H_2O is almost twice as low as in Re_2(CH_3COO)_4Br_2.
