摘要

The kinetic investigations of the oxidation of DL-serine by chloramine-T in the presence of anionic surfactant, i.e.sodium dodecyl sulphate (NaDS), have been conducted.The rate constant decreases with the increase in the concentration of NaDS.The reaction follows first order and fractional order with respect to oxidant and substrate concentration, respectively.The effect of pH, scavenger salt, halide ions and solvent on the reaction rate has been studied.The reactions were studied at different temperatures and the values of activation parameters have been calculated.
