摘要

The pre-treatment of traditional Chinese medicine wastewater by catalytic supercritical water oxidation with KHCO3 was investigated to improve the degradation of the complex-mixture of organic compounds present in the wastewater. The influence of different crucial parameters such as temperature, reaction time, KHCO3 concentration and hydrogen peroxide excess (HE) have been evaluated. The optimum conditions for degradation led to TOC reductions up to 80% in only 5 min of treatment. The results showed that catalytic supercritical water oxidation is an effective process for treating traditional Chinese medicine wastewater. KHCO3 addition improved TOC removal. When reaction temperature is 540 degrees C, reaction time - 20 min, hydrogen peroxide excess (HE) - 0.8 and KHCO3 concentration - 300 mg/l, TOC removal increased by 13.7%.
