STUDY ON PREPARATION OF NANOCOPPER OXIDE VIA RAPID PRECIPITATION

摘要

A simple and efficient method was developed for fabricating CuO catalyst via a four-step procedure. Cu(NO3)(2) is selected as the raw material, Na2CO3 and NaOH mixed solution is used as the precipitate agent. The suitable technology conditions for precipitation process are reaction temperature 50 degrees C, precipitate agent concentration 0.35 mol/1, reaction time 40 min, precipitate agent amount 2:1. The suitable roasting condition is roasting at 450 degrees C for 3 h, by single-factor and multi-factor orthogonal test analysis, considering both product particle size and copper receiving rate. Based on these conditions, the nanocopper oxide copper receiving rate can be above 98% and the particle size can be 12 nm, which could result in notable mechanical strength and enhanced catalytic activity due to preservation of the high surface area, both valuable for practical applications.
