摘要

Bis-(etbylene diamine) bis-(diethylene triamine) peroxo dicobalt(III) perchlorate complex is synthesised by solution route. The prepared (1-peroxo complex is characterised by FT-IR and electronic spectroscopy. The biomimic kinetics oxidation studies of L-leucine by μ-peroxo complex in aqueous medium have been investigated. The kinetics reaction follows the first order reaction with respect to peroxo complex concentration and hydrogen ion concentration. Increase in ionic strength has no effect on the reaction rate. The reaction does not induce the polymerisation of acrylamide. The main products of the reaction have been isolated and characterised. The Ar-rhenius and the thermodynamic parameters have been calculated from the effect of temperature on the reaction rate. A suitable mechanism has been proposed based on the experimental result.
