IT'S SOMETHING ONTARIO'S livestock sector has long been asking for - legislation to stop livestock movement to contain the spread of animal disease and the ability to respond quickly to emergency situations. This fall, after a lengthy consultative process, the provincial government responded by introducing and then passing, the Animal Health Act, a move that has been broadly supported by the industry.
