Raptures of the distal insertion of the tendon of the biceps brachii are rare. Subsequent contralateral biceps tendon rupture is even more rare. When distal biceps tendon ruptures occur, these injuries can result in weakness of the upper extremity and impact performance of some activities of daily living. Gilcrest and Albi1 found that long head ruptures accounted for 96% of all biceps tendon raptures, distal attachment raptures accounted for 3% of injuries, and short head ruptures accounted for 1% of injuries .While distal biceps tendon avulsion or rapture of the is uncommon, contralateral avulsion is rare.
