ORTHOPEDICS is a peer-reviewed journal, and as part of our process, 2 Associate Editors aid in making decisions about submitted manuscripts based on the recommendations of our peer review panel. Dr James J. McCarthy has served as one of the Associate Editors for ORTHOPEDICS since 2008, when our 10-week publishing initiative began.Dr McCarthy recently stepped down from his role as Associate Editor to pursue a master's degree in Health Care Management at the Harvard School of Public Health. I thank him for his dedication and service to the Journal and wish him the best as he furthers his education.
