Improving the Resource Management Act: The Government's 2004 Review Programme

The Government, under the direction of the Associate Minister for the Environment David Benson-Pope, is undertaking a review of the Resource Management Act. The review is being jointly managed by the Ministry for the Environment and the Ministry of Economic Development through a five-member reference group appointed by the Minister. The Group contains representatives from agriculture, fishing, conservation and environment, local government and resource management planning.
