Computer aided method for the design of two stage optical systems

This study presents the mathematical formulation of an algorithm that we developed for the prediction of the sub reflectors of two-stage optical systems. The algorithm is based on a sequential ray tracing model, which is associated with a conic curves identification method. Using this approach, we built and characterized Cassegrainian and Gregorian congurations with acceptable levels of precisions. (C) 2015 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.
