California librarian wins Korean language books in OCLC AsiaLink drawing

Maria Keshishian, acquisitions manager at the County of Los Angeles public Library in Downey, California, won a set of 10 shelf-ready Asian books in a drawing held by the OCLC service at the 1997 ALA Annual nference in San Francisco. According to Leslie Yi, manager of OCLC AsiaLtak, the prize was a set of 10 books in one of the four languages in which AsiaLink specializes--Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese After consulting with library staff, Ms. Keshishian decided that a set of Korean bookswould be most beneficial for her library users.
