Argentina recently announced new measures to combat rising inflation,including the suspension of tax rebates for some food exporters and a proposed increase on banks' reserve requirements.According to published news reports,Argentina Economy Minister Roberto Lavagna told reporters he will "recommend that the Central Bank board study with urgency an increase in the reserve requirement with no additional cost," in a bid to absorb excess liquidity to reduce inflation.
