John B. Hess: An energy crisis is on the way, unless U.S. acts

Are energy and climate change the greatest challenges facing man in the 21st century? "I would agree with that," said John B. Hess, Hess Corp. chairman of the board and CEO, during a keynote speech at the recent IHS Herold Pacesetters conference held in Stamford, Connecticut. "We can no longer pursue narrow, short-term political agendas; we all must collaborate— Democrats and Republicans, government and industry, the U.S.—with the rest of the world, for the common good. We need to put energy policy at the top of the U.S. political agenda and at the top of the G-20 agenda."
