High, stable oil price bodes well for U.K. independents

In a relatively high and stable oil-price environment, U.K. upstream independent oil companies are looking to the future of their projects. To produce its second ranking of U.K. independents, Deloitte LLP tracked the leading 25 companies by market capitalization over the past six months. The first half of 2010 was positive for U.K. upstream independents, the report says, with market capitalization of the majority of the top 25 companies increasing by 4.6% over the six-month period.
