Naryanmarneftegaz, a LUKOIL and ConocoPhillips JV (70 and 30 percent respectively) develops this field - one of the biggest in the north of Timan-Pechora petroleum province. The field was discovered in 1981. Proved oil reserves in the field exceed 500 million barrels. Being treated, this oil surpasses the Russian Urals export brand: its density is 35.5 API (for Urals - 32.0 API), and sulfur content is 0.71 percent (1.3 percent for Urals).
