摘要

The study presents the results of simulation of the solidification process of castings made from AlSi7 silumin carried out on a demo version of the NuscaS software program. The aim of the simulation was to choose the thermal and geometrical parameters that would facilitate the computation of casting design and would help to develop guidelines for the casting manufacture technology. The liquid metal ability to fill the mould cavity and the solid phase content under preset technological parameters of the mould and casting material were analysed. The study presents the results of preliminary computations and the plotted solidification curve that has been compared with the true solidification curve generated by the thermal method of ATD.
