摘要

One of the products of a single-stage process of copper production in the fluidized-bed furnace, at GLOGOW II copper smelter, is slag containing from 10 to 16 mass. Percent Cu, with makes 25/30 percent of copper introduced to the furnace with a concentrates. Copper is recovered from the slag in an electric furnace 18 MVA by reduction of the metal oxides, and the product of this process is CuPbFe alloy, waste slag and dusts. CuPbFe alloy is converted to blister copper containing under 0,3 mass percent Pb. The paper outlines development of the technology for slag cleaning and CuPbFe alloy converting and of the design of an electric furnace from the start-up in 1978 till present.
