Modeling the joint process of continuous casting and pressing-rolling of non-ferrous metals and alloys

Methods developed by the present authors for joint casting and pressing-rolling are considered. Results are presented from a solution of the variational problems that arises in attempting to determine the optimal geometric parameters of a joint casting and pressing-rolling plant for dosed box and beam passes. Conclusion and recommendations for the use of different pass forms for deformation of non-ferrous metals and alloys and the conditions of the production regimes used to implement the processes are presented.
