摘要

Using alkylation of commercial zinc and cadmium powders with organic halides in the presence of the organometallic compound-copper(I) iodide binary systems as an example, it has been demonstrated that the rate of the stationary process can be drastically varied depending on the nature of the organometallic component. Both the nature of the metal and the ligand composition of the organometallic compound were significant factors. Activity of the binary systems in the considered process correlates with the organometallic component reactivity upon its transmetalation with the second compulsory component of the binary system (the transition metal compound).
