摘要

A general separable form of strain energy function with linear parameters is developed so that if a standard curve fitting method is used only a handful of linear equations need to be solved; the proposed function is formulated in such a way that only a few parameters are required to characterized the rubberlike materials. One of the parameters is the Young's modulus and this could facilitate a curve fitting algorithm if the value of the Young's modulus is known. A single constant,strain energy function is also proposed. THe predicted curves agree well with numerous experimental data.
