For a very long time, the Yunnan Province of China has been a very magnetic place, attracting people to come. Its geographic beau ties and abundant natural resources are the foundation of its nonpolluting tourist industry. It is said that the number of tourists traveling from the provincial capital KunMing to the scenic DaLi and LiJiang of the western Yunnan is over 3 million per year. Along the freeway from KunMing to ChuXiong, 85 kilometers from Kun-Ming, tourist buses will pass the greatest dinosaur graveyard in the" world, "Dinosaur Hill." Inside an ugly white shelter on the top of a hill near the village of Ana in ChuanJie District, Lu-Feng County, eight mid-Jurassic dinosaurs rest silently. They are a rare site indeed. LuFeng is China's original dinosaur hometown. In 1938, Dr. ChongChien Yang, the "father" of China's dinosaurs, started to excavate and study dinosaurs in DaWa, not far north of the capital, LuFeng Town.
