Ectopia lentis can occur as an ocular manifestation of systemic disorders like Marfan disease, homo-cystinuria, and Weill-Marchesani syndrome. It can also occur in cases of idiopathic or secondary anterior megalophthalmos. Idiopathic ectopia lentis has also been described.
