摘要

Most UV curable coatings are flammable, which limits the use of these coatings for some applications. Traditionally flame retardancy can be achieved by physically blending flame retardants into compositions, but high concentrations of flame retardants would detrimentally affect the UV curing process and the film properties. Reactive-type flame retardants have a number of advantages including lower loading levels, transparency, and they will not exude from the film during use and ageing.
