Is there a compositional gap at Nisyros volcano? A Comment on:Magma generation at the easternmost section of the Hellenic arc:Hf Nd,Pb and Sr isotope geochemistry of Nisyros and Yali volcanoes(Greece)

Buettner et al.(2005)provide valuable new radiogenic isotope data on the Nisyros and Yali volcanic rocks(South Aegean arc,Greece).These new data on ten selected samples should have been discussed within the context of existing data(e.g.,Keller,1971,1980,1982;Di Paola,1974;Bond,1976;Limburg et al.,1986;Bohla and Keller,1987;Vougioukalakis,1989;Seymour and Vlassopoulos,1989;Wyers and Barton,1989;Keller et al.,1990;Limburg and Varekamp,1991;Papanikolaouet al.,1991;Varekamp,1992;Seymour and Vlassopoulos,1992;Vougioukalakis,1993;Francalanci etal.,1995 and other references therein;Varekamp et al.,1999;Volentik et al.,2002),which is however not the case.
