摘要

Increasingly, higher demands are being placed on the quality, reliability, consistency of performance, availability, as well as the service life of overhead line systems, particularly for high-speed and high-capacity railway lines. This has led to changes in the planning parameters, the strategies for installation and maintenance, the technical characteristics and, consequently, the technologies used for mechanically-assisted assembly and maintenance of overhead line systems. This article looks at how these increased demands are being met by the modern Plasser & Theurer catenary installation and renewal technology which, embracing the use of a catenary installation & renewal machine (Fig. 1), a motor tower car and a cable winch car that operate according to the assembly-line working principle, achieves a high output and quality of installation.
