The US prompt month, which will expire on Tuesday, was almost flat ahead of a major winter storm with blizzard condition warnings expected over the weekend for major Mid-Atlantic cities, including Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York
February gas inched 0.1¢ higher today to end the week at $2.139 per million Btu, bringing the weekly gain to 3.9¢, or 1.9% (Futures contracts). 'Zig-zag prices today as weather minded traders attempt to gauge future heating demand going into the weekend,' Gelber & Associates analyst Aaron Calder said. 'The noon run of the GFS is showing lots of colder than normal temperatures for February. The market remains muted because the potential cold is fragile.'
