About ten years ago I spoke with Einstein about the astonishing fact that so many ministers of various denominations are strongly interested in the theory of relativity. Einstein said that according to his estimation there are more clergymen interested in relativity than physicists. A little puzzled I asked him how he would explain this strange fact. He answered, a little smiling, "Because clergymen are interested in the general laws of nature and physicists, very often, are not." Circa 10 anni fa discussi con Einstein dell'incredibile fatto che cosi tanti ministri di diversi culti siono fortemente interessoti alla teoria della relativitá. Einstein disse che secondo luí ci sono piú uomini di chiesa interessoti olla relativitá che fisici. Un po' confuso gli chiesi come potesse spiegare questo strano fatto. Mi rispose, sorridendo leggermente: "Perché gli uomini di chiesa sono interessati alle leggi generali della natura, i fisici molto spesso no".
