Grangemouth back from the brink

UK private-sector firm Ineos has reversed a decision to close the 2mn t/yr pet-rochemical complex and the 208,000 b/d refinery at Grangemouth in Scotland after trade union Unite members agreed to commit to a “survival plan” that was initially rejected on 22 October.
