Preservation of Hungary's Documentary Heritage

摘要

This paper surveys the scope and physical condition of library collections in Hungary and their preservation needs. Hungary has rich collections of important resources requiring preservation. Past and current initiatives address ensur-ing the longevity of these collections. Future developments, including pending legislation on the use of permanent paper and on the preservation and protection of library and archival materials, are discussed.
