Simplot to build new ammonia plant in Wyoming

JR Simplot says that it is planning to build a new $300 million ammonia plant at its existing phosphate fertilizer complex in Rock Springs, Wyoming. The 600 t/d unit will supply both the Rock Springs and Poc-atello ammonium phosphate plants, and construction is expected to be completed by late 2016. Linde Engineering North America has been awarded the contract to design and build the plant, which will use locally available low cost natural gas as feedstock.
