Relax. The word on the wall of Catherine and Peter McPhail's Omaha kitchen is an apt exhortation, given the view surrounding the sign. The couple's 450sqm beach house has the classic sought-after beach vista: unobstructed views on to softly undulatingsand dunes and breaking surf. The couple, who live in Remuera, have long holidayed in Omaha, north of Auckland, and first bought a section at the northern end of this long stretch of sand more than twenty years ago. Their move south came in 2005 after they realised the need for "volume" - a larger home to accommodate their three "outdoorsy" sons as well as regular getaways with members of their large extended family.
