A nurse-led revolution in bereavement care has inspired an entire hospital's workforce to improve the support it offers grieving families.Now the groundbreaking project at Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is getting the attention it deserves after Fiona Murphy, clinical lead for bereavement and organ donation, won the 2011 Nurse of the Year award, lurphy was announced as overall winner of the Nursing Standard awards at a glittering ceremony in London last week for introducing a service that goes well beyond the confines of the patient.
