Refrigerating systems for supermarkets with alternative refrigerants

Supermarket systems play an important role in current discussions on the environmental friendliness of refrigerating systems with HFC refrigerants. Based on years of operational experiences with the natural refrigerants ammonia, propene and CO{sub}2, comparisons are made with HFC systems as regards economy and the greenhouse effect.
