From the air-conditioning system to the heat pump in cars

For about 10 years the automotive industry is trying to exchange R-134a through CO{sub}2. As the combustion engines give less heat to the indoor compartment to make it comfortable the heat pump-mode for car indoor heating was developed with very good results. At a meeting in Saalfelden/Austria at the end of January 2002 the latest developments were presented.
